Our Plant team provides group wide services to McAleer and Rushe Contracts UK Ltd and extended groups. Reporting into Plant Managers as Plant Support in being responsible for administration of plant operations including: production, quality control, inspections, maintenance, receiving, and shipping.

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update Plant logs
  • Assist with plant hire orders and liaise with suppliers for delivery and collection
  • Monitor and report on insurance compliance for vehicles & equipment
  • Reporting invoice queries to suppliers and adding these to the system
  • Assist with organising transport across the UK
  • Supporting the Plant Managers with any daily ad hoc tasks

Education/Experience

Essential:

  • Knowledge of Construction activities & Plant equipment
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Confident IT user, especially with Microsoft Word/Excel
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • A proactive and flexible work ethic with a willingness to learn and progress
  • Stock control and admin experience
  • Awareness of cost and budget control
  • Flexible and willing to travel to the UK when required
  • Candidates should have the appropriate work permit or the right to work in the UK.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of crane operations or temporary works equipment
  • Understanding of Health and Safety compliance (LOLER, PUWER)
  • Experience with transport or plant hire operations
  • Experience on Coins Procurement System
