Earlier in May, 33 members of staff from McAleer & Rushe and MRP participated in the Moy Park Belfast City Marathon, and we are pleased to announce their participation successfully fundraised a total of £5,000 for Air Ambulance NI.
This donation will help support the essential, life-saving services they provide for the people of Northern Ireland, the region’s only helicopter emergency medical service.
Six teams undertook the team relay event, and five individuals ran the full 26.2-mile marathon challenge on Sunday 5th May, under fortunately sunny and dry conditions. Our teams had a lot of fun coming together to collectively raise funds for this vital cause.
We are incredibly proud of our runners and immensely grateful for the generous support we have received from our friends, family, colleagues and industry partners who kindly donated.
Damien McAnespie, Air Ambulance NI fundraising manager, said:
“Thank you to the entire McAleer & Rushe and MRP team for their brilliant efforts in this year’s Moy Park Belfast City Marathon. The company have been an incredible supporter of our charity since its inception in 2017 and we greatly appreciate their continued support. The charity Air Ambulance Northern Ireland, in partnership with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, provides the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) for Northern Ireland. With a fundraising need of £2.5 million per year, this huge donation will allow the HEMS to continue to fly and save lives, brains and limbs. Thank you so much.”
