“I want to thank the entire McAleer & Rushe and MRP team for their huge efforts in undertaking this year’s Moy Park Belfast City Marathon in support of the region’s only helicopter emergency medical service. To have thirty-three of their staff dedicating their time and efforts to supporting the charity is fantastic. The company have been an incredible supporter of our charity since its inception in 2017 and we very much appreciate their continued support in helping to save lives, brains and limbs.”

“McAleer & Rushe are delighted to take on this challenge and raise funds for Air Ambulance NI, who provide much-needed lifesaving services that are so valuable to the people of Northern Ireland. It is a pleasure to continue our support for Air Ambulance NI and we’re thrilled to see a fantastic level of enthusiasm from our staff who are lacing their runners and taking part in the Belfast City Marathon.

With over 4,174 incidents since its launch in 2017, Air Ambulance NI is a very worthwhile cause delivering the best possible pre-hospital critical care. We are extremely thankful to those who donate and cheer on our runners next month, your contributions are greatly appreciated.”

The charity Air Ambulance Northern Ireland, in partnership with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, provides the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service for Northern Ireland.  The service brings urgent medical assistance to anywhere in the province, operating seven days a week for 12 hours per day. The HEMS team attend patients who are seriously ill or injured, bringing emergency pre-hospital care direct to the casualty with the aim of saving lives, brains and limbs.  The aircraft can reach anywhere in Northern Ireland in approximately twenty-five minutes.

On average the medical team are called upon twice every day, whether that is as a result of a serious road traffic collision, farm or workplace accident, sport and leisure incident or a serious medical emergency. As a local charity, Air Ambulance NI aspires to raise £2.5million each year to maintain and sustain this service so public donations are crucial.

We hope that everyone can support McAleer & Rushe and MRP’s efforts by making a donation to their online fundraising page.
