Overview
The development comprises of a 265 bed Maldron Hotel which was completed in November 2018 as part of a wider mixed-use regeneration scheme with the Unite Group, which is located on the site of the former Newgate shopping centre.
The hotel opened in December 2018 ahead of schedule and represents Dalata’s first Maldron operation in England, comprising of an extensive bar area, restaurant and business meeting facilities.
The six-storey hotel with vacant retail unit has been subsequently sold by MRP to UK Commercial Property Finance Holdings Limited (UKCPFH) which was advised by Standard Life Investments for £32.7 million on a Forward Funding basis.
