View WebsiteView BrochureThe Portland Building is a sustainable Grade A office development which will revitalise a site that has lain vacant for more than 20 years and create 30,000 sq ft of much needed high-quality EPC A-rated office space in North Laine.
Construction commenced in October 2022 and targeted to complete ready for occupation in Q1 2024.
The Portland Building will have exemplary sustainability and technological features and will be built to achieve a BREAAM Excellent rating and the RIBA2030 target for embodied carbon, making it one of Brighton’s most attractive new offices for environmentally conscious businesses. The development will include PV panels, a ‘green roof’ and two ‘green walls’, encouraging biodiversity and wellbeing provisions such as secure cycle spaces accessed via a dedicated cycle ramp and shower & locker facilities.
MRP are undertaking a Lifecycle Carbon Assessment and targeting a benchmark ‘A’ rating, whereby the scheme is predicted to be 31% more carbon efficient than a typical new build office.’
