Project Description

The construction of a high-quality, sustainable purpose-built student accommodation scheme providing 432 premium studio apartments. Each studio has been carefully designed and fully furnished to a high contemporary standard, delivering a comfortable and modern living environment.

An extensive range of high-quality shared amenities has been incorporated to support student wellbeing and foster a strong sense of community. These include a fully equipped gym and fitness suite, yoga and Pilates studio, dance studio, cinema lounge, games hub, communal lounge and dining areas, quiet study spaces, meeting rooms, and landscaped external courtyards. The upper levels accommodate a generous sky lounge and roof terrace, offering panoramic views across the city.

Environmental performance is a core consideration of the scheme, with the development targeting BREEAM Excellent and an EPC A rating. A comprehensive low-energy design strategy has been implemented throughout, exceeding Glasgow City Council’s sustainability requirements and reinforcing the project’s commitment to delivering high-quality, future-ready student accommodation.

The Site

Located adjacent to the Maldron 300-bed Hotel, this purpose-built student accommodation completes the infill of the Broadway Central city block, transforming a prominent brownfield site in the heart of Glasgow city centre.
