Project Description

Design & Build construction of a four-star 278-bedroom hotel in Central Manchester under the Maldron brand. Works included demolition and construction of the new build 17-storey hotel which features a bar, restaurant, gym and business conferencing facilities.

As a city-centre site with a tight footprint in close proximity to the rail viaduct, the hotel steps back incrementally from the street to create an increased level of separation and steps out to the north to create a city-centre facing elevation above the viaduct. The hotel cladding design is made up of terracotta-pigmented pre-cast concrete.
