Project Description
New build construction of a landmark 34-storey (106m) residential tower that will be the tallest on the brownfield city-centre site, to comprise 375 Build to Rent apartments in a range of studio, 1, 2 and 3-bed units.
The building is designed to incorporate green infrastructure and landscaping to benefit biodiversity and the residents experience, such as a communal roof garden on Level 30.
The development will also include half-an-acre of new public square opposite with retail space on the lower ground floor and 40 undercroft car parking spaces.
The Site
Construction of Phase 2 of Exchange Square in Birmingham city centre as the latest element to the larger Masshouse redevelopment by developer Nikal. McAleer & Rushe are also constructing a 235-bed Premier Inn hotel as part of Phase 2.
