Project Description

Construction of a purpose built student accommodation development comprising 540 high quality VITA studio apartments across two blocks spanning 10 and 29 storeys. The student residences will be complimented with ample communal amenity spaces including private dining rooms, a gym and basketball court, co-study spaces, social hub and games rooms.

Designed to achieve a BREAAM ‘Very Good’ rating, the building will also provide over 200 cycling parking spaces, along with outdoor terraces and a rooftop outdoor area on Level 29. A roof terrace on Level 10 will include a bio-green roof garden with wildflower beds, crushed stone piles and stacked tree stems to encourage wildlife habitat creation.

The Site

Located on Gough Street, Suffolk Street Queensway in the heart of Birmingham city centre, the development is within walking distance of New Street rail station, Mail Box and Cube.

There is a significant change in levels along Gough Street towards Suffolk Street, equating to three storeys in height, and neighbouring the site is a locally listed Grade B Christadelphian Hall on its lower Eastern End, and to the rear is a statutory listed Grade II Synagogue.

Our dedicated team of experts, from the initial design concept to final completion.
