Project Description
Construction of a new residential building ranging in height from 9 to 22-storeys, delivering 125 Build to Rent units and 71 affordable for rent units. The new homes will range in a mixture of studios, 1, 2, and 3 bedrooms and complemented with generous amenity space, two roof terraces and two commercial units on the Ground Floor.
The Western block is the tallest at 22-storeys and is orientated to both acknowledge the Abbey Grounds directly to the South West of the site, and the long views towards central London. The development will also provide 286 no. secure bike parking spaces, 4no. car parking spaces, and works to include public realm improvements. The roof terraces will offer panoramic views overlooking the Abbey Green parkland.

Transformation of a vacant site and former bus depot into a Build to Rent development on a prominent corner location at the edge of Barking Town Centre, with an important relationship with the historic heart of Barking, the Abbey Grounds.
