Project Description
Construction of a 265-bedroom hotel achieving a BREEAM Very Good rating and comprising bar, restaurant, business centre facilities and an external courtyard. This was Dalata’s first Maldron Hotel in Great Britain which is a leisure and business orientated four-star hotel and was completed 4 months ahead of programme.
The Site
The Maldron hotel forms part of a large mixed-use regeneration scheme of a circa 1.75-acre city centre site which consisted the demolition of the former 1960’s shopping centre and construction of a 575-unit purpose built student accommodation building operated by UNITE Students.
