Project Description

Design & Build construction of the first Maldron brand hotel in Scotland comprising 300 bedrooms in Glasgow city centre. Achieving a BREEAM Very Good rating, the hotel rises 12-storeys and includes a spacious bar & restaurant, business suite and gym facilities.

The hotel has been designed with brick and cast stone as the primary material, specifically with red and blonde sandstone along with red and buff brick to seamlessly integrate into the architectural character of the area.

The Site

The site is centrally located on the corner of Renfrew and Renfield Street in close proximity to the main shopping district on Sauchiehall Street, adjacent to the Theatre Royal and a short distance from main Transport links including Buchanan Bus Station and both Queen Street & Central Train Stations. The hotel is a vital addition to the area which is commonly defined as the central business district of Glasgow.
