Project Description
Construction of a next-generation build-to-rent neighbourhood in Leith, Edinburgh, delivering 373 homes, including family and affordable housing, across four apartment blocks and provide 1.3 acres of new public realm space.
Its delivery will follow a detailed ESG strategy that includes the creation of £2m worth of socio-economic benefits, including 60 local jobs, and a 55% reduction in operational carbon emissions, making Dockside, once completed, one of Scotland’s most sustainable residential developments.
The Site
The 2.5-acre site is situated directly on Albert Docks, the historic industrial Docklands in the North of Leith, and is in close proximity to the shopping & leisure hub, Ocean Terminal.
The waterfront scheme, branded as ‘Dockside’, will provide ample resident amenity space including a fitness centre, landscaped gardens, co-working space and rooftop terraces to provide panoramic views over the Firth of Forth to the North and Edinburgh’s historic city centre to the South.
