Project Description
Construction of reinforced concrete framed PRS residential accommodation block of up to 18 storeys, with a 3 storey link building, basement plant area, retail units facing onto station square, including completion of basement car park/podium slab structure and finishes.
The development creates a unique character and identity for South West Lands, using traditional building form and proportions – the building has a base, a middle and a top with a handcrafted feel – using traditional brickwork on metsec framing and standing seam metal cladding, that has the character of a restored heritage building.
The Site
The redevelopment of the Wembley Park area is a significant regeneration project undertaken by developers Quintain, of which the South West Lands site forms part of. The large site is split into 7 individual plots SW01 to SW07, of which McAleer & Rushe are under construction with plots SW03A, SW03B, SW04 & SW05 with an overall contract value of £186m.
The South West Lands plot lies adjacent to Wembley Stadium and London Designer Outlet. The site has boundaries with Chiltern Rail to the South of the site and South Way Road to the North.
