Project Description
The Denizen is a high quality 10 – 7 storey residential building providing a sophisticated collection of 99 apartments in a mixture of studio, 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms, accompanied with private terraces, communal landscaped courtyard and sunken gardens. A designated landscaped pocket park is accessible to the public via a safe street entrance.
The development includes tenant amenity space such as a cinema room, games room, communal study area and a concierge reception. Feature tile panels are located on the Brackley St and Fann St elevations, designed to replicate the former Bernard Morgan House building.
The project utilised the BIM process to construct the very complicated balcony detailing, such as identifying sequence for installing damp proof courses, thermal breaks, stone surrounds, balcony fixings.
The Site
Located in Central London, between the iconic Grade II listed Golden Lane and Barbican Estates, The Denizen transforms a site occupied by the former building Bernard Morgan House, built in the 1960s and used by the City of London Police as a Section House until 2011.
